Job Description

:Role Overview:Huntsman has a rare opportunity for an experienced Senior Specialist Regulatory and Registration to join our EAME regional team. This role can be home-based across Europe or Turkey or located in any of our European/Turkish locations.The purpose of this role is to act as go-to person within EAME for business-initiated registration activities and ensure regulatory forward-looking compliance.Role Responsibilities:As a Senior Specialist Regulatory and Registration, you will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring and updating internal stakeholders on developments in REACH and other chemical regulations within the EAME region.
  • Managing the submission of substance registration and notification dossiers.
  • Organizing and facilitating project meetings with business partners and other stakeholders, along with preparing regular project updates.
  • Acting as the focal point for REACH authorities, including managing follow-ups on decisions and correspondence.
  • Assisting in substance identification by providing criteria for determining whether a material is a substance or polymer.
  • Monitoring, interpreting, and conducting impact assessments on specific chemical regulations and effectively communicating findings to internal stakeholders.
  • Developing and implementing processes and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Supporting REACH awareness assessments and audits for various sites and offices.
  • Delivering training sessions to R&D teams, commercial teams, associates, customers, vendors, and tollers to enhance REACH awareness.
  • Representing Huntsman in industry and trade associations.
Experience and Competencies:What we are looking for:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Chemistry, (Life) Science or an equivalent relevant degree in Technical, Science or Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a REACH, product stewardship or regulatory affairs role in the chemical industry is required, with an awareness and understanding of chemical processes and products.
  • Deep understanding of chemistry, REACH, CLP and chemical control legislations relevant for Huntsman businesses.
  • Sound project management experience.
  • Excellent working knowledge of SAP-EHS, IUCLID and IT tools (such as MS Excel, power query, databases, impact assessment tools).
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with relevant legislative bodies.
  • Comfortable working with different cultures and through multiple time zones.
  • Able to influence people and adapt to changes.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
  • Contribute to innovative ideas with a good amount of curiosity.
  • Self-motivated and able to use initiative.
  • Have a proactive approach to working, with the ability to identify issues and address them quickly.
  • Occasional travel as required.
