Senior Systems Engineer-Citrix Category: Infrastructure/CloudCity: Bangalore, Karnataka, IndiaPosition ID: J1018-0333Employment Type: Full TimePosition Description: Responsible for the full administration of all complex server farms. Provide highest level of technical advice on Server Administration and management.Your future duties and responsibilities: This position will be responsible for providing day to day Citrix support for multiple customers by exercising proven Operating System and infrastructure experience in the enterprise space applying process; procedures; Standards; guidelines and best practices. Citrix Administrator is primarily responsible to configure; support and administer a Citrix XenApp environment consisting XenApp 4.5; 6.0 and 6.5 and Windows 2003/2008. Supporting BAU for various clients Maintain system availability as per multiple Service Level Agreements (SLA) Produce monthly reporting activity and explain any abnormal system performance Assist appropriate teams in all phases of Production implementation Perform system tuning activities where appropriate Ensure that all documentation for the systems (build books; network diagrams) is updated after changes. Make recommendations to improve health of the system where necessary. Participate in various projects and work orders as assigned and complete assigned tasks on time. Coordinate activities for projects between other teams. Provide on-call support as scheduled. Coordinate service calls and requests with team members where necessary. Respond to incident tickets and provide updates in a timely manner. Escalate where necessary. Coordinate and implement change records as a result of trouble tickets Perform 1st level hardware diagnostics and installation of layered products where needed Reduce costs where advantageous to do so, without impacting service availability.Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Primary Skill: Citrix; Citrix XenDesktopSecondary Skill: Netscalar , Citrix XenServerExperiences: 6-10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE Citrix XenApp environment consisting XenApp 4.5; 6.0 and 6.5 and Windows 2003/2008. Hands on experience in up gradation and maintenance of Citrix servers He must have excellent problem determination skills with good learning attitude. Experience in application sequencing and rollout Participation in Citrix Infrastructure Changes and also on-call rotation Resolving client tickets Knowledge and experience in XenApp, Netscaler, Provisioning Services and Edgesight Excellent Customer Support Skills Knowledge of Active Directory Virtual application/server knowledge A good understanding of network infrastructure and remote access technologies. Advanced troubleshooting skills Should have excellent presentation; written and interpersonal communications skills Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment Ready to work in 24/7 support Technical Requirements to perform function.
