Job Description

Assist in surgical procedures by scrubbing in and handling instruments and suppliesMaintains a sterile field by following established protocolsCommunicates with the surgical team to ensure the smooth flow of the procedureAnticipates the needs of the surgeon and provides instruments and supplies accordinglyAssists with counting of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after the procedureReports any discrepancies to the surgeon and circulatorPrepares and maintains the operating room by setting up equipment and suppliesCleans and sterilizes instruments following established proceduresPerforms other related duties as assigned
