Job Description

Senior Manager - Supply Chain Management 1. Review and update supply chain practices in accordance with new or changing environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws
1. Manage activities related to strategic or tactical purchasing, material requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing and receiving
2. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, vendors, or freight forwarders
3. Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain activities
4. Ensure timely and accurate order booking, follow up for timely delivery through rail / road / air
5. Conduct demand forecasting analysis for on time Stock replenishment
6. Inventory and warehouse management to track stock ageing and ensure storage of material in a safe environment
7. Build a robust network of logistics to ensure accurate & timley dispatch, ensure timely sharing of dispatch details with stakeholders and perform stock reconciliation
8. Select transportation routes to maximize economy by combining dispatch schedules or consolidating warehousing and distribution; ensure lowest transportation rates
9. Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste and optimize service delivery
10. Implement new or improved supply chain processes
11. Define performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of supply chain factors, such as On Time Performance
12. Develop procedures for coordination of supply chain management with other functional areas - Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Quality Assurance
13. Identify opportunities for cost rationalization and implement measures to enhance overall profitability
14. Mentor and guide the Supply Chain Team to foster a conducive work environment and healthy interpersonal & inter departmental relationships
