Advise site management on critical safety, environment and health related matters.
Responsible for influencing department heads at site to improve HSE management and performance in their areas of responsibility.
Responsible for driving continuous improvement in site HSE performance and be the primary contact for HSE related government agencies, customers and other relevant agencies
In consultation with VP-HSE and site head, devise and lead effective implementation of appropriate environmental safety, health, waste management policies, procedures and practices at site.
Implementing relevant Process Safety Management (PSM) elements at site, participating in PHA (Hazop, HIRA, Risk Assessment, What If study) studies
To ensure all the employees at Mundra plant adhere to the safety norms and policy
To set up a process to monitor implementation of HSE norms in the plant and escalate gaps and irregularities there
To ensure that safety work permit system is effectively implemented at site.
To ensure that all plant personnel are trained on industrial safety norms and internal safety policy
To supervise the investigation of any incident relating to safety at the plant
Responsible for providing Training to all employees
Responsible for continuous improvement in HSE standards of site
Responsible for on site and off site emergency preparedness
Conducting internal HSE audits and facing such audits from customers / regulators
To evaluate environment & safety performance, initiating pollution prevention and waste
minimization at site.
