Project Engineer

Job Description

Role Overview:The Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of mechanical engineering projects involving utilities, machine installation, and piping systems. This role requires strong coordination with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Core Responsibilities:
• Plan, schedule, and execute mechanical engineering projects related to utilities, piping systems, and machine installations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, external contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project progress.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of machines, mechanical systems, and utilities infrastructure.
• Review project requirements, analyze specifications, and verify compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation including technical drawings, inspection records, reports, and updates.
General Project Duties:
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation across all phases of the project.
• Track and report project progress to management, highlighting risks and recommending corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in project execution and cost optimization.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-10years of experience in project engineering (preferably in steel, manufacturing, or heavy industries).
• Strong knowledge of utilities, piping, and mechanical systems installation.
• Proficiency in project management tools, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team coordination skills.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
