Kitchen Helpers job is to support the kitchen staff by performing tasks like cleaning, preparing food, and organizing supplies. They assist with food preparation, wash dishes and utensils, and ensure the kitchen is clean and organized. Heres a more detailed look at the responsibilities:Food Preparation & Support:Assisting with food prep: This includes washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing vegetables, fruits, and meats as directed by the chef. Ingredient management: Helping with stocking and organizing ingredients, including taking inventory and ensuring supplies are replenished. Serving support: May assist with portioning food, plating dishes, and arranging food for serving. Cleaning & Organization:Maintaining cleanliness: Keeping the kitchen areas and equipment clean and sanitary, including cleaning work surfaces, utensils, and equipment. Dishwashing: Washing, drying, and putting away dishes, utensils, and cookware. Trash removal: Taking out garbage and replacing trash bags. Floor cleaning: Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors. Organizing supplies: Helping to organize and store food supplies, equipment, and utensils. Other Tasks:Unloading deliveries: Assisting with unloading food supplies and equipment deliveries. Following health and safety regulations: Adhering to food safety standards and procedures. Assisting with various tasks: May be required to perform other tasks as directed by the chef or manager.
