Together with engineers from around the world, you will create innovative driveline systems that enhance both the driving experience and productivity for our customers.As a GAE, you will be located in Curitiba (Design Team) and collaborate closely with the driveline platform team in Gothenburg. The Gothenburg team is responsible for designing internal components for all our in-house transmissionsboth for diesel and fully electric trucks. These components primarily include aluminum cast parts (sand-cast, LPDC, or HPDC). The team also oversees the geometrical architecture of the complete transmission system.The Curitiba design group consists of engineers in various roles, including CAD engineers, FEA engineers, and Geometrical Architects. Your future team is made up of experienced and skilled engineers who support each other and share knowledge. We work hard while maintaining a positive, cheerful, and inclusive atmosphere.The role - What do we offerAs a Geometrical Architect (GAE), you will lead the architecture work in geometrical architecture meetings, collaborating with multiple stakeholders. You will be responsible for ensuring that all internal and external components fit together, supporting component engineers in solving packaging issues.You will be actively involved in transmission projectsfrom advanced engineering to production. In the early stages, you will structure and drive component placement to define the complete transmission hardware architecture. In the later stages, you will secure the architecture, facilitate meetings, and balance component design with various stakeholder requirements.Additionally, you will act as the bridge between the Driveline and Engine teams, requiring strong communication and networking skills.Who we believe you areWe believe you are someone who takes responsibility, is driven, structured, and goal-oriented. • An M.Sc. degree (in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical field) and experience in the automotive industry.
• At least six years of experience in product development, with a strong understanding of related processes.
• Proven Creo CAD design experience.
• Knowledge of Powertrain Engineering and experience in mechanical engineering.
• Familiarity with KOLA structure and other Volvo systems (a plus).
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
