Job Description

    Job Summary:We are looking for a results-driven and motivated Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our Agency Partner Channel (APC) team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and leading a team of Agency Leaders and Agents to drive business growth through the distribution of life insurance products.This is a great opportunity for professionals with a strong background in agency recruitment and team management within the life insurance industry.Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Team Management
    • Recruit, train, and develop a team of Agency Leaders (ALs) and Insurance Agents.
    • Support Agency Leaders in recruiting and onboarding Agents.
    • Drive quality recruitment through regular mentoring and development programs.
    2. Business Development
    • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for:
      • Agent and Leader recruitment
      • Annualized First Year Premium (AFYP)
      • Number of active agents and issued cases
    • Drive premium growth and expand the distribution network in assigned geography.
    3. Performance Monitoring
    • Regularly track performance of Agency Leaders and Agents.
    • Identify high-potential performers and enable their development toward elite recognition programs (MDRT, CEO Council, etc.).
    • Focus on enhancing overall team productivity and persistency.
    4. Compliance & Governance
    • Ensure strict adherence to IRDAI guidelines and company policies.
    • Maintain proper documentation and records of the teams onboarding and performance.
    • Monitor quality of business sourced by Agents and Leaders to ensure compliance standards.
    5. Market Intelligence & Strategic Execution
    • Analyze market trends and competitor strategies to stay ahead.
    • Share insights and recommend tactical plans for recruitment and business expansion.
    • Implement initiatives to strengthen field force productivity and retention.
    Key Requirements:
    • Minimum Experience: 3 years in Life Insurance Agency/Agency Partner Channel
    • Proven experience in team handling and distribution management
    • Strong leadership and people development skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
    • Deep understanding of life insurance products and sales practices
    • Strong business acumen and result orientation
    • Knowledge of regulatory (IRDAI) guidelines related to agency distribution
