Position SummaryTo provide CNC programming support independently to all Oceaneering Project Teams.Duties & ResponsibilitiesESSENTIALPREPARE PROGRAMS FOR 3 - AXES CNC MACHINES.STUDY INPUTS LIKE DRAWINGS , CAD MODELS , TECHNICAL DOCUMENTS , ETC. FOR CREATION OF MODEL AND PROGRAM IN CAM SOFTWAREUNDERSTANDS MACHINING APPROACH BY SUDYING BLUEPRINTS / DRAWINGS , MATERIALS , SPECIFICATIONS , REFERENCE PLANES , LOCATION OF SURFACES AND MACHINING PARAMETERSDETERMINES CORRECT SEQUENCE OF OPERATIONS NEEDED FOR MACHINING OF PRODUCTSELECTS CORRECT CUTTING TOOLS THAT WILL BE NEEDEDANALYSES AND SELECTS CORRECT PARAMETERS LIKE SPEED , FEED , DEPTH OF CUT ETC. IN ACCORDANCE WITH MACHINE AND MATERIALEVALUATE THE GENERATED NC CODE TO ATTAIN CORRECT MANUFACTURING OF THE PRODUCTGOOD KNOWLEDGE OF VARIOUS MACHINING PROCESSES AND THEIR APPLICATIONSINTERMEDIATE LEVEL KNOWLEDGE OF VARIOUS MACHINE TOOLS USED IN INDUSTRYCOMFORTABLE TO WORK AND CONVERT BOTH METRIC AND IMPERIAL UNITSPROVIDE THE TIME ESTIMATION FROM PROJECT / TASK START TO COMPLETION.EXECUTING THE PROJECT / TASK WITH SET / REQUIRED KPI S (OTD , FPY , EV).INTERMEDIATE KNOWLEDGE OF DRAFTING STANDARDS E.G. ASME Y14.3 , Y14.5 , Y14.100 AND EQUIVALENT BS / ISO STANDARDS.INTERMEDIATE KNOWLEDGE OF TOLERANCE , SURFACE FINISH AND DIMENSIONING SYMBOLS.UNDERTAKE ANY OTHER DUTIES OF A REASONABLE NATURE AS REQUIRED BY MANAGEMENT.NON - ESSENTIALContribute to improving existing Engineering processes.Demonstrates high level of initiative to accomplish individual objectives assigned as well as team goals.Should be open to travel as per business needs.Work towards individual goals aligned with department and organizational objectives.Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures.SafetyEnsure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.OtherCarry out work in accordance with the Company Health , Safety , Environmental and Quality Systems.Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.Eliminate waste of whatever form , to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.QualificationsREQUIREDDiploma in Mech Engg with minimum 6 years of CNC machining experience or B. Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering with 4 years of experience.DESIREDFamiliarity with Mechanical industry codes / standards (e.g. ASME , ASTM , AISC etc.).Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge , Skills , Abilities , and Other CharacteristicsAn individual should demonstrate following competencies & qualities to be able to perform this role successfully : Communication skillsTeamwork & Interpersonal skillsAnalytical , problem solving & decision making skillsOrganizing & planning skillsWorking ConditionsThis position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows.Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at nightOccasional exposure to airborne dust in the work placeWork surface is stable (flat)Physical Activity / RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
