Job Description

I. Overall Position Summary

• Contribute towards the development of features, implementing parts or in whole for Quark Enterprise Solution Clients
• Ability to clearly understand per project basis

Requirements

• Existing product features and overall solution
• Work closely with Scrum master/Lead in understanding the assignments in context of overall scope and implement the assignments in a timely manner with high quality
• Ability to quickly adapt with regular switching of client assignments; based on priorities without significantly impacting productivity
• Demo Certified
• Full time position based in Chandigarh

Key Metrics for Success

• Implementation Modularized, Reusable and Maintainable code
• Quality Deliver tasks which meet Quality standards without apparent oversights, minimal defects and Integration issues (CSAT score)
• Delivery - Deliver within/before committed timelines

Responsibilities

• Deliver releases as per customer plan with high quality and minimal side-affects/defects
• Should be able to upgrade existing customers to CE within the SOW timelines
• All changes done are peer-Reviewed before checkin. Participate in code review of other peers.
• For each feature delivery customer acceptance should be more than 90% and any defect reported should be addressed in next sprint.
• Work on varied configuration aspects, document configuration, application configuration and adapter configuration in Quark XML Author, Quark Web Author related to meta, attributes, component bursting.
• Implementation of new features and upgrade of EIs for existing projects.
• Deliver Renditions as per agreed Template
• Resolve any ticket on priority as per SLA and with high quality code.
• Service Billable Hours: Adhere and burn service billable as per contract commitment

II. Key Duties Responsibilities

• Works under general supervision, normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. A certain degree of creativity and latitude would be required
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on limited experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues
• Works on problems of limited to moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Exercises judgment within defined procedures/practices to determine appropriate action
• Understanding of - Requirements, existing features, Design and Architecture of solutions
• Works closely with peers and Lead, implements assignments in manner and intent shared thereby ensuring quality and timeliness
• Engineer-PS should be able to work on more than one module/component of the product stack.
• Participates in Scrum, Demos and troubleshooting sessions

III. Required Qualification Skills

• BE/B.Tech/MCA/ME/MTech from premier institute and with around 1-3 years of Industry exposure
• Should be fluent in Core Java JavaScript. Expertise in JSP, Ajax and other web technologies /frameworks development (spring)
• Expertise in cross-browser development
• Deep understanding of overall systems development life cycle including various methodologies (agile, waterfall, iterative)
• Exposure to TFS and MS Build or equivalent systems
• Experience with open source technologies and object-oriented design

IV. Reporting Structure

• This position will report to the Director/Senior Manager
• Could report to additional levels based on Project team composition
