Engineering Project Lead

We are hiring an Engineering Project Lead - Mechanical for a leading manufacturing organization. This role will be responsible for managing mechanical engineering activities across capital projects, from design and planning through execution, commissioning, and project handover.The ideal candidate will have strong project execution experience, sound mechanical engineering knowledge, and the ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.Key Responsibilities- Lead complete mechanical engineering projects from feasibility studies through detailed engineering, procurement, installation, commissioning, and handover.- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and engineering deliverables.- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Process, Electrical, Instrumentation, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Operations.- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.- Review engineering designs, calculations, equipment specifications, and technical documentation.- Lead vendor evaluations, technical bid analysis, FAT/SAT activities, and contractor management.- Drive value engineering, design optimization, and cost reduction initiatives.- Resolve technical challenges during engineering, fabrication, and installation phases.- Ensure compliance with international engineering standards and statutory regulations.- Monitor project KPIs and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership.- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
