Job SummaryThe GM will be responsible for the overall management, operations as well as the targets and profitability of the business unit.The GM will be accountable for all areas of The Club/Restaurant and will ensure the synergism of all the Club/Restaurant activities.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOperationsDirect the work assignment of supervisory and non-supervisory personnel.Preparation of Club/Restaurant strategic plan, goals program, and departmental budget. Schedule routine inspections of all housekeeping and public areas on a regular basis to ensure furnishing, facilities and equipment are clean and in good repair, well maintained and replaced / refurbished as required.Ensure that all restaurant operations and set up are in accordance to standards established.Monitoring and controlling departmental cost on an ongoing basis to ensure performance against budget. Establishes restaurant business plan by surveying restaurant demand. Ensure that on time requisition is sent to stores for timely delivery. Maintains operations by reviewing policies and standard operating procedures; implementing production, productivity, quality, and patron-service standards; determining and implementing system improvements. Maintains patron satisfaction by monitoring, evaluating, and auditing food, beverage, and service offerings; initiating improvements; building relationships with preferred patrons. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Monitoring and controlling Club procedures including key control, security and emergency procedures, health and safety for employees and guests. People Management: Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and performance evaluation, coaching, counselling and taking disciplinary actions to ensure the appropriate staff productivity and efficiency. Identify training needs, assist in developing formal training plans and implementing training sessions. Ensures that regular, ongoing communication is happening in Operations (e.g., pre-shift briefings, staff meetings) and follow up on progress of agenda items covered in regular meetings. Leadership: Directs and mentors all positions within the operations department to ensure a high level of engagement and success. Maintain availability for development of all department personnel Sets goals and expectations for direct reports using the performance review process and holds staff accountable for successful performance. Accomplishes company goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Job Holders Specifications Diploma/Degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management or related field. Minimum 5 years relevant experience in a similar role locally (preferably in management of a club facility) Open to non-domicile candidates from other cosmopolitan cities in India (Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad and etc). Strong management and supervisory skills. Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Strong work ethic, the ability to work a flexible schedule, and excellent people skills for this very service-oriented business.
