Pharma Head - Sales & Distribution/Supply ChainRole Overview:The Pharma Head of Sales for Distribution and Supply Chain will spearhead the strategic expansion and operational oversight of the groups pharmaceutical distribution network based in North India. This role involves managing the end-to-end flow of pharmaceutical products, ensuring seamless coordination between procurement, warehousing, and retail distribution channels. You will collaborate closely with hospital administrators, procurement teams, and external vendors to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and ensure the availability of critical medications. Your leadership will directly influence the groups operational margins and the reliability of the supply chain, ensuring that healthcare delivery remains uninterrupted and cost-effective.Key Responsibilities:- Formulate and execute distribution strategies to expand the reach of pharmaceutical products across the groups network, ensuring consistent market penetration and product availability.- Oversee the entire supply chain lifecycle, from vendor negotiations and procurement to inventory management and last-mile delivery, to minimize stock-outs and wastage.- Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical manufacturers and logistics partners, to secure competitive pricing and reliable service level agreements.- Analyze sales data and distribution metrics to identify bottlenecks, optimize logistics costs, and improve the overall efficiency of the supply chain infrastructure.- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of sales and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and performance-driven results.- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory standards and pharmaceutical safety protocols governing storage, handling, and distribution of medical supplies.Required Skillset:- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex pharmaceutical supply chains, with a strong grasp of inventory control systems and distribution logistics.- Proven ability to negotiate high-value contracts and manage vendor partnerships to drive cost efficiencies and operational excellence.- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret market trends and internal data, translating insights into actionable sales and distribution strategies.- Exceptional interpersonal skills to navigate stakeholder relationships effectively across clinical and administrative departments.- Proficiency in leading high-performing teams, with a focus on professional development and operational discipline.- A postgraduate degree in Management or Pharmacy is preferred, coupled with a strong understanding of the regulatory landscape in the Indian pharmaceutical industry.- Ability to work effectively in an on-site capacity in Chennai, coordinating daily operations across multiple facilities.Interested can send their updated resume our calling and WhatsApp number is 8.7.9.6.5.0.7.5.9.9
