Job Description

Job Description SummaryAs the project manager of a multi-functional (and cross-regional) team within a matrix organization, the project manager is responsible for ensuring the timely development and successful completion of one or more complex product programs. The project manager leads the cross functional team through the process from planning to closure. He or she represents the program and the program team to executive leadership as well as the global organization.The project manager is accountable for leveraging new and diverse approaches resulting in optimized solutions by leading the team through technical problem solving and decision making, ensuring that the functional experts are held accountable. This leader also leads and facilitates the decisions related to talent and resource allocations, negotiations and changes working with functional managers and other business leaders.He or she will drive for continuous improvement and agility in the global product development process ensuring that program timelines are met or accelerated.Responsibilities

  • Expertise in applying project management skills resulting in end to end delivery.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs.
  • Should be able to see Bigger Picture and determine associated risks.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Understands and addresses inter-dependencies at Project Level.
  • Must be a good team player with Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Successfully manage the relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate internal resources and offshore teams for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Effective communicator; handles difficult conversations.
  • Build Strong relationships will all stakeholders (Project, Business Unit, Functional) and partner with them for end to end delivery
  • Should be Proactive in addressing pain points of Stakeholders (Project, Business Unit, Functional)
  • Coach Other Functional Associates on Best Practices and Tools
  • Has a strong drive for initiatives
  • Conflict Resolution.
  • Well versed with different types of organization structures.
Requirements
  • Very good educational background, preferably in the fields of computer science or engineering
  • Minimum 10 years of working experience in the information technology sector.
  • Minimum 2 years of hands on experience on Project Management.
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
