Job Description

Sr Analyst - Technical WriterAs a Technical Writer, your key function will be to put forth complex information, processes or concepts in a simplified manner. You will be required to write technical documentation for technical and business audiences.Responsibilities

  • Acquire Insurance Domain and product knowledge to be able to create and edit documents.
  • Expertise in designing document layout and templates for user documents. Specialized in defining the documentation standards, design and formatting.
  • Understand the requirement of the target audience and scope of the document.
  • Able to convey complex, technical information to users who have a nontechnical background.
  • Develop an understanding of the product by regularly syncing up with developers, quality analysts & product managers.
  • Organize and write installation guides, user guides, system administration guides, product release notes and other documents such as online help for technical and business users.
  • Use workflow diagrams, animation videos, pictures, drawings and charts to increase users understanding.
  • Revise product documentation as the product evolves.
  • Ensure that documents are technically accurate and are produced on time.
  • Ensure correct grammar, accurate content, and conformity to established company style and presentation.
Skills
  • Ability to document software products by watching product demonstrations.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS-Office Suite (MS-Word, MS-Excel, and MS-PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of HTML and CSS to create and modify the existing code and stylesheets.
  • Knowledge of structured writing principles and Document Development Life Cycle (DDLC).
  • Knowledge of graphic tools such as Snagit.
  • Familiar with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Good understanding of single-sourcing and content management systems.
  • Hands on experience working on Atlassian Confluence will be preferred.
  • Working knowledge of learning management tools like storyline 2 and Edubrite will be a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external audiences.
Education/Experience
  • Graduate in engineering / computer science or equivalent.
  • 3-6 years in creating and editing technical documentation.
  • Exposure to documentation in Property and Casualty Insurance / Financial Services / Information Technology domain will be a plus.
