Business Function description. This position is open under Products, R&D and Production business function. It plays an integral role in the life cycle of a product. While the department usually is separate from sales and other divisions, the functions of these areas are related and often require collaboration.Team description. This position is open for central quality team under Networks and Platform R&D in India which is responsible for all Networks deliveries quality. The purpose of this team is to make better products and to ensure customer satisfaction.We believe to use a proactive approach in which the test design process is initiated as early as possible in order to find and fix the defects before the build is created.We are now looking for a Senior Test Engineer to join our team.Key role responsibilities ( Your Contribution )In this role, you will be responsible to develop and perform software tests to ensure we release the highest quality products that meet client needs. Responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, developing and implementing frameworks that improve testing (Automation and manual) and debugging and reporting bugs. The QA engineer will be required to deliver E2E (end to end) QA testing across a software stack spanning multiple internal and external systems.The QA engineer role plays an important part in our product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests during development to validate requirements, performing UAT (user acceptance testing) for product releases, and providing support for customer implementation projects as required. You will be responsible for Designing, developing and executing automation scripts. You need to stay up- to- date with new testing tools and test strategiesCandidate qualifications ( Mutual interest )In order to thrive and succeed in this role, we expect you to have:Demonstrated 7+ years experience with manual and automated testing (minimum 4 years in automation) with web based software Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools and processes Ability to write code/ scripting in languages like Java, XML, JSON, SQL, JavaScript and C#.Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cucumber, Robot Framework)Demonstrated experience in test planning, test design, test strategy, and test execution Nice to have experience with ERP and accounting software (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Sage, Xero)Strong debugging skills and ability to write bug reportsExperience with both white box and black box testing (i.e. CIT / UAT)Practical coding experience with automated web testing tools and servicesExperience working in an Agile/ Scrum development processStrong organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthesize resultsCreativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness for the entire teamComfortable communicating cross- functionally and across management levels in formal and informal settingsBachelor or Masters in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent combination of technical education and work experienceOur offeringAt Basware, you will be part of dynamic and forward looking company.
