Job Description Summary
The Hosted Data Solutions (HDS) department is responsible for the development and implementation of cost- effective and efficient data and hosted products and services to meet current and future operational requirements for customer facing applications within the Medical Systems business segment, which is inclusive of the Dispensing, Infusion, and Ventilation business units.
The solutions architect is responsible for overseeing all software architectural efforts for the department as well as leading forward engineering of new high priority products.
Job Description
Responsibilities:Provide leadership and guidance to the teams responsible for architecting, implementing and performing continuous improvement to products. (20%)
Develop cohesive interpersonal working relationships with all peers and team members. (10%)
Provide leadership to the management team. Develop strategies for hiring, training, development, and succession planning. (10%)
Maintain an in- depth knowledge of best practices surrounding architectural design and applications development, inclusive of development technologies and best practices. (20%)
Provides leadership and strategic direction architecture improvements to improve customer satisfaction, speed of development, cost of development, implementation, and ease of maintenance. (20%)
Ensure that proposed and existing systems architectures are aligned with organizational goals and objectives. (10%)
Provide leadership and guidance to the software architecture function responsible for creating, implementing and performing continuous improvement to software architecture duties. (10%)
Perform periodic reviews of the deliverable of team members.
Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problem.
Qualifications:
BS in Computer Science or Information Systems
14+ years experience in Information Technology with specific emphasis on Applications Development (and software architectural design patterns)
2+ years in a leadership role required.
Healthcare Industry experience a big plus
Technical Skillset Requirements:
C#, ASP.Net, MVC, WPF
JavaScript, D3.js, Angular JS
SQL Server 2008 and above
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
Strong knowledge of software security best practices
Hadoop, Hive, Pig a plus
Physical/Mental Requirements:
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.
Ability to analyze complex application and business operational issues and lead the team to an expedient, cost- effective technology solutionsGood to Have: Candidates with valid US Visa
