Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

Functions

  • Create Talend/ODI jobs (ETL) to migrate data from heterogeneous sources such as ORACLE DB, CRM, files, SQL Server, NO SQL database etc.
  • Hands on experience with Tableau or other Data Visualization tools like MS BI etc.
  • Experience on Data Virtualization tools like Denodo is a good to have skill .
  • Recommend design alternatives for data ingestion from variety of sources into different types of target databases.
  • Design, develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies to support the tactical and strategic reporting and analytics needs.
  • Meet regularly with other Information Architects to review/enhance Information Architecture policies across the org
  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
  • Develop and maintain scripts and queries to import, manipulate, clean, transform data from different sources
  • Perform quality assurance on generated results to ensure accuracy and consistency using Data visualization software and techniques
  • Design, evaluate and monitor key metrics, understanding root causes of changes in metrics
  • Developing and publishing Talend Jobs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Minimum BS/BE/BTech/MCA Degree in computer science, MIS etc
  • Minimum 4 to 8 years of experience on ETL tool Talend

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

  • Experience working in Agile methodology and facilitating sessions with data warehousing partners.
  • Must be strong in SQL, and PLSQL skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills & delivering high-quality deliverable.
  • Experience in Talend design, development and support Experience working with ETL Tools.
  • Good understanding on ETL concepts.
  • Understanding of relational database concepts and experience in ETL design.
  • Knowledge of Java on writing the scripts.
  • Development of complex code to build business rules to load data into target systems using various components in Talend DI
  • Work with both IT and BI data internal and external clients to interpret tool, data and/or system requirements as well as to obtain data or develop data structures
  • Utilize project management routines/methodologies as needed to ensure consistent delivery of data solutions, tools, reports, data, etc. in support of strategic initiatives
  • Support all technology aspects to ensure operational requirements are met and that all systems development lifecycle technical needs are met (such as operations, deployments, cutovers, testing and support)
  • Participate in quality assurance testing; translate non-functional requirements and use cases into test plans and test scenarios to test system requirements
  • Work in Agile environment
  • Strong with SQL development knowledge for Relational Databases
  • Business and Technical Analysis skills
  • Experience with monitoring & performance tuning in Data Virtualization environments
  • Experience in scripting languages like Batch, Shell in Unix environment
  • Experience in Data Mapping, XML/JSON, and web service
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Hands on experience with Tableau or other Data Visualization tools like MS BI etc.
