Awarded as one of the best Google apps of 2017, the app provides students with a variety of online courses that cover K12 subjects, Entrance exams, Engineering and FInance stream topics, as well as Self-help notes.Their unique and simple AI based site and app feature 500+ courses, nearly a lakh videos and tests, and also imparts strength and weakness analysis for the students to improve their knowledge base. The 5yr old organisation is one of the most loved ed-tech platforms that reaches more than 4.5Mn registered users.As theUX/ UI Designer, you will be responsible for a world class product to be used by students across the globe.What you will do:

  • Designing user interfaces for all things at organisation starting with the app and the website
  • Planning and thinking through user experience - finding out best paths for delivering a seamless experience
  • Chief of aesthetics: making sure whatever we ship feels nothing less than magic
  • Redesigning the old and designing anything new that is planned.
  • Mapping user personas and desired actions. Being the Usability expert.
  • Working closely with Engineers, Documenting features for seamless handoff to the development teams.
  • Producing creative assets including graphics, templates, and layouts and visual standards for marketing activities across multiple channels.
  • From social media ads to email campaigns you would be making designs that sell and also enhance our brand value.
Required Candidate profileWhat you need to have:
  • 3-8 years of ownership experience in designing User Experiences, Interfaces, Apps and Websites for consumer facing internet product(s).
  • Advanced knowledge of designing tools like Sketch/ Illustrator. You are comfortable with tools like Figma, Invision/ Protopie, After Effects or other prototyping tools. You have a fair understanding of web and app development and have good experience in development handovers.
  • Research and Analysis: You depend on user-centric critical analysis and problem-solving. Experience with User Research methods - user personas, journey mapping, and competitor analysis.
  • Follow digital usability best practices knowledge on a global level.
  • Aesthetic Sense: You have built a portfolio you are proud of. You have an opinion of what is good and bad based on not just your intuition but also research and experience
  • Experience:You have worked on products that a lot of people have used. You know usability is more important than just looking good.
  • A level of Obsession: That one last pixel not at the right place bothers you and you are extremely uncomfortable doing average work.
  • Team player: You work happily with developers to make sure what you envision is delivered as well.
  • Design Consistency: You understand brand guidelines and can make sure they are consistently applied throughout the product & even every aspect of user communication.
  • Understand Trends: You read and follow design trends. And you know why a trend emerged and would not just follow it because everyone is doing that nowadays.
