Location:MumbaiExperience:6 - 9 YearsCTC:10 - 17 LPANotice Period:Immediate to 15 DaysRole OverviewTheApplication Support Specialistrole offers a fast-paced and challenging environment, providing exposure to both technical and business aspects of mission-critical trading and enterprise applications. This position plays a key role in ensuring application stability, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance across global systems.You will work in afollow-the-sun support model, including rotational weekend coverage, supporting high-availability platforms within the ITES sector. While prior experience with specific trading systems is beneficial, a strong aptitude for learning complex systems and business workflows is essential.Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Monitor and respond touser-reported incidents and infrastructure alerts, ensuring timely tracking and resolution.
• Performproactive ready-for-business checks, identify gaps, and address failures before business impact.
• Manageend-to-end incident management, including clear communication with impacted stakeholders.
• Conductroot cause analysis (RCA)and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to improveapplication stability and operational excellence.
• Execute and validateproduction changesstrictly in line with approved change management procedures.
• Participate actively inplanned technology events, including disaster recovery and business continuity tests.
• Respond promptly toregulatory and compliance-related issues.
• Liaise withexternal vendors, exchanges, and technology partnersto resolve connectivity, market data, or platform issues.
• Leverage automation and monitoring tools toreduce manual effort and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure team knowledge remains current and future-ready.
Required Skills & Experience
• 6-9 yearsof experience inApplication / Production Supportfor mission-critical systems.
• Strong proficiency inLinux/Unix environments.
• Hands-on experience withshell scripting (Unix/Linux)andPython / Perl scripting.
• Solid experience working withSQL databases.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a problem-solving mindset.
• Experience withmonitoring and scheduling toolssuch asAutosysor equivalent.
• Familiarity withversion control tools(Perforce, ClearCase, Git preferred).
• Good understanding ofnetworking conceptsincluding TCP/IP, UDP, multicast, and SNMP.
• Exposure toreal-time or low-latency systemsis highly desirable.
Preferred / Nice to Have
• Experience supportingelectronic or algorithmic trading platforms(Equities or Fixed Income).
• Knowledge ofreal-time messaging technologiesand market data feeds.
• Exposure to automation initiatives to reduce operational toil.
