Job Description

• Reviewing patient records:Review patient charts and documents for accuracy and verification.This includes checking for deficiencies, clarifying unclear information, and ensuring that documentation supports diagnoses, procedures, and treatment results.
• Coding:Assign and sequence codes for services rendered to patients, using a recognized medical coding system.Make sure that codes are assigned correctly and in accordance with government and insurance regulations.
• Analyzing data:Research and analyze data needs for reimbursement.
• Training:Train junior medical coders and other medical staff on medical coding.
• Collaborating:Communicate and collaborate with physicians and other medical staff to understand treatment given to patients.
• Other:Collect information from physicians to prepare monthly reports, and ensure that medical documents are free from grammatical and typo errors.
