Job Description

    Role/Job Title: Branch Manager-RuralFunction/Department: Rural BankingJob Purpose: The role entails managing and scaling up the Rural banking business for the branch bycreating strategies to achieve growth targets for the branch by managing operations andresources in the most cost efficient and technology effective manner. It also entailsdeveloping constructive relationships with key local dealers and working closely with themto boost volume of business by establishing a strong foundation with them as their financialpartner of choice. It is accountable to ensure expansion of branch footprint, productpenetration and delivery of high-quality customer service. The role will closely collaboratewith the product and operations teams to drive effective customer acquisition, servicing anddeepening. It includes building up teams, systems, process and culture relevant to thebranch network scale.Roles & Responsibilities: Own the liabilities for the branch and direct all operational aspects includingdistribution operations, customer service, administration and sales.Responsible for working towards achieving sustainable profitability for Liabilitiessales of the branch.Custodian of people, processes and documents for the branch; expected to managethe liabilities for the branch and work towards achieving sustainable profitability.Manage a team of Relationship Manager-Branch Banking, Branch Operation &Service Manager and Branch Relationship Manager to drive client acquisition,deepening of existing relationships and addressing all needs of customers byproviding gamut of banking services.Achieve productivity, efficiency, financial (budget and cash flow), customer servicetargets and ensure statutory compliance for the branch.Assess local market conditions and identify current and prospective salesopportunities.Share knowledge with other branches and headquarters on effective practices,competitive intelligence, business opportunities and needs.Adhere to high ethical standards and comply with all regulations/applicable laws.Cultivate relationships with individual and corporate customers.Spearhead manpower planning, recruitment and training processes for both on-rolland off-roll employees to ensure high performing talent across levels.Develop and implement livelihood advancement and community developmentinitiatives.Bring out the best of branchs personnel by providing training, coaching,development and guidance.Evaluate the feasibility of new initiatives in offering, channel & process point of viewand ensure its implementation to improve overall operational efficiency.Collaborate with other branch departments and functions to provide products andservice offerings to the customer. Spearhead manpower planning, recruitment and training processes for allemployees to ensure high performing talent across levels.Develop and implement livelihood advancement and community developmentinitiatives.Bring out the best of branchs personnel by providing training, coaching,development and guidance.Evaluate the feasibility of new initiatives in offering, channel & process point of viewand ensure its implementation to improve overall operational efficiency.Collaborate with other branch departments and functions to provide products andservice offerings to the customer.Managerial & Leadership Responsibilities: Mentor and coach senior team members to percolate ethos of customer centricity,innovation, compliance and integrity.Create environment for team to focus on automation and digital enablement to fulfilcustomers needs holistically.Attract & retain best-in class talent to meet Banks rapid growth targets.Education Qualification: Graduation: BA / BCom / BBA / BSc / BTech / BE or any other graduateExperience: 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Rural Branch Banking or allied Business.
