Job Description

    Upon successful on-boarding, youll be playing 100% full time role with valid ESA allocation under Delivery Excellence business unit (** and NOT with CDB AI&A from ESA allocation perspective) Delivery Excellence (DE) business unit is one of the biggest practice within Cognizant with ~ 6,000 associates serving various ADM / MDU / Service lines across globe DE has three towers namely Envision, Industrialize and Enable. Each towers have different functions and youll be part of DE Enable tower and would be catering / supporting CDB AI&A. Name of the role would be DE Enable PoC - whichll make a person a real subject matter expert with robust knowledge acquired from both worlds Project delivery and Delivery Excellence An Internal / Non customer facing / Non delivery / Pure play process oriented role Need to work independently with very minimal directions and report to Senior leadership team. Prior CDB AI&A background with any specific technology tool expertise will be an added advantage, even though its not mandatory. Real PASSION towards DE is very much required - as the world of Delivery Excellence is purely process oriented and entirely different from conventional project delivery role. Role doesnt stop just with audits . Depends upon situation, need to own and anchor DE initiatives such as Automation, CII, Innovations, PQR, CoD, Project reviews, SoW reviews, SLA reviews, etc. Being a pure play process specific role, lot of follow-ups with stakeholders might need to be made for achieving monthly DE specific compliances. Hence flexibility on nature of work is required. Every single DE module will come with Key Required Action (KRA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI). Youll be measured based on individual business impact created against KRAs. Role will have same level of work pressure or sometime even above project delivery role. To be very open, its NOT a simple 09.00 to 06.00 white collar job as most of us imagine J On an average, role would require minimum 9 hours of daily commitment as well as more than 150 % effort to cater various high priority business needs. A typical business day would start by 09.30 AM IST. Should be able to participate various status meetings on the fly. Analyzing huge volume of data and bring out very strong in-sights through impactful presentations is MANDATORY. Strong willingness to work under AGILE mode is required - wherein work priorities would change on every day basis depends upon business need. Assertive communication and relationship building skills is MUST as the role requires lot of liaising and interaction across multiple levels Under this role, various projects with escalations and high risks have to be dealt. Hence Pro-active never-say-die attitude is required - rather than very slow and reactive. Being associated with technology specific horizontal (CDB AI&A), flexible enough to get Upskilled or Cross skilled. For competing with highly talented peers, very focused thrust to go beyond miles by taking up additional responsibilities is required. With reference to YEA, your performance will be compared against the outcome of associates of same level part of entire DE business unit. Hence consistent business outcome is very important. Promotion to next level immediately on the same year of joining DE business unit wont be practically feasible. Chennai is the base location of overall team. Foot print across Pan India locations at Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Coimbatore, Gurgaon, Kolkata and Kochi. This specific role DOESNT have any ONSITE opportunities as we operate only within Offshore boundary. If everything goes well towards successful on-boarding, a commitment of minimum 2 years of continued association with DE business unit is required.,
