Greetings from Core2Code HealthcareA medical coder translates patient informationfrom medical records into standardized codes forbilling, insurance reimbursement and data analysis.A Medical Coders responsibilities include assigning Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) and International Classification of Diseases Tenth Revision Clinical Modification (ICD-10 CM). They will also be required to assign American Society Anesthesiologists (ASA), Ambulatory Payment Classifications (APC) or Diagnosis related groups (DRG) codes.Skills:
• knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and Physiology.
• Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and other relevant Coding System.
• Analyse medical records, gives relevant information.
• Accuracy in paramount in medical Coding.
• Effective communication is needed to collaborate
• with health providers, insurance companies.
Role
• To review US medical records.
• To review surgical procedures, pre & post-surgical care.
• To prepare medical submissions.
Skills
• Basic knowledge in Anatomy and Physiology.
• Basic communication & interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge in reading doctors orders, frequency and disciplines.
• Ability to discuss information about patients, reach out to physicians & authorization follow up.
Salary:
• 18k to 20k per month
• Performance incentives and rewards.
• 4K fixed hike after six months
• weekend Off (Saturday & Sunday)
