Financial Reporting Specialist (Workiva CoE SME)

Job Description

Lead responsibility for the US GAAP and IFRS accounts for FCE locations, with local GAAP support from the location accountants Lead responsibility to ensure timely local statutory filings where applicable, support tax filings (as required) Part of Workiva Center of Excellence Team, leading the Statutory Financial Statements preparation work for more than 20 Legal Entities. Responsible for Annual Financial Statements- Roll Forward Activity in Workiva for prior year and current year, ensuring TB Mapping are aligned and produce timely AFS for Management Review. Actively prepare Notes to Accounts and related disclosures as required, collaborate with the location and Auditors closely to understand the regulatory an business changes that might impact any of the Notes Disclosure. Deep understanding of the SAAS Platforms like Workiva or alike to drive enhancements requests and leverage the invested tool to fetch more automation and efficiency in the process. Support statutory. audit process walkthroughs, SOX testing (including spreadsheet control tasks), support internal audits Ensure activities are delivered with quality as per the requirements in SLA document Understand the business changes, review Finance Manual changes, and assess its impact to accounting processes, financial reporting Participate in system change and process change meeting, share views related to financial reporting Provide Accounting guidance to location on business changes / opportunities and have good insight with IFRS and US GAAP Standards. Support implementation of location projects impacting Accounting Work towards building end to end ownership within FCGBC Challenge the current process, drive automation initiatives to generate efficiencies Highlight issues as and when it occurs, raise OIC and ensure the same is implemented and closed on time Liaise and build a good rapport with internal and external stake holdersEssential Skills to have Qualified CA with 4 years of experience in accounting, reporting and Statutory Financial Statements Preparation. Experience of the General Ledger systems (PeopleSoft, SAP/4HANA) Financial/Credit organizations business and accounting knowledge Knowledge in IFRS/US GAAP and International Accounting Standards Analytically strong with well-established interpersonal and communication skillsGood to have Skills Hands on Experience on SAAS Platforms used in the market like Workiva, Appian. Prior Experience of Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements in line with IFRS or Local GAAP Good Flair in driving Automation and enhancements to the existing Tools. XBRL Tagging and Validation Knowledge Fair Understanding of different Ledger Strategy adopted in iERP in Multi- Geography Organization High Precision and Eye for Detail.
