Duties & Responsibilities:
• The Control Systems Technician will be responsible for daily activities involving the installation, operation, maintenance, and calibration of the sites toxic gas monitoring system (TGMS). Duties include but are not limited to:
• - Leading the functional design of instrumentation and control projects, specifying equipment, and creating or approving drawings related to Gas Piping.
• - Troubleshooting components of the toxic gas monitoring system, tracking, and coordinating the shipment of faulty units or sensors to the respective manufacturer.
• - Assisting with life safety testing for all tools connected to the TGMS.
• - Supporting shutdown activities as required.
• - Addressing operational issues such as gas detector leaks and performing calibration work as necessary.
• - Performing other duties as assigned by the Manager.
Qualifications:
• - A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Toxic Gas Monitoring (TGM) Technician or in a similar role in Instrumentation and Control.
• - Proven ability to apply instrumentation and control analysis in maintenance techniques.
• - Equivalent educational and professional training in a highly technical environment.
Skills and Abilities:
• - Proficient knowledge of construction quality standards and material specifications.
• - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• - Excellent communication skills.
• - High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
