Head - Operations - Manufacturing/Supply ChainRole Overview:The Head of Operations is primarily responsible for providing oversight of the safe, efficient, and effective execution of sales, commercial, and daily operations. This role is accountable for implementing and sustaining a metrics-driven culture in which data is used to monitor performance, inform decisions, and optimize operational outcomes. Responsibilities: - Sales and Operations Execution: Responsible for executing company sales and operations, strategies, policies and tactics required to achieve objectives. - Supply Chain Management: Accountable to ensure the required supply and stock is available to facilitate the sales and commercial team. - Performance Leadership: Leads and coaches the team to meet or exceed operational metrics. - Financial Management: Plans, implements, directs, evaluates, monitors, and forecasts budgets and costs. - Communication and Policy: Communicates and explains new directives, policies, and procedures to managers. - Stakeholder Engagement: Enables communication flow to ensure Leadership team is updated on progress or issues regarding KPIs. - Sourcing and Procurement: Incorporate spend insights and market intelligence to ensure strong satisfaction through sourcing and purchasing. - KPI Benchmarking: Benchmark and establish procurement KPIs to deliver top tier performance. - Reporting: Execution of data collection and KPI reporting. - Safety and Quality Oversight: Provides oversight for safety, quality, and efficiency expectations. - Resource Management: Proactive in managing and coordinating resources to meet dynamic schedules. - Inventory Control: Monitor inventory control initiatives on a daily, weekly, and period end cycle. - Professionalism: Sets a high standard for personal and leadership professionalism. - Documentation and Training: Responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining the use of SOPs, JIs, and JSAs. - Staff Development: Participate in hiring, training, and ongoing coaching of leadership staff. - Performance Reviews: Conducts performance reviews on a regular schedule. - Employee Relations: Partners with HR and Leadership in all employee relation activities. Requirements & Qualifications: - Mechanical or Industrial engineering degree a must, MBA degree is a plus. - Must have demonstrated experience as customer responsive with a commercial background. - Demonstrated experience working closely with customers to successfully provide innovative solutions. - Must have 15 years minimum in manufacturing, supply chain management, QA with exposure to engineering, project management and scheduling. - Experience working directly in an Enhanced Supplier/Customer relationship with proven results a significant plus. - Demonstrated experience/capability in financial and operational business planning for new ventures and/or acquisitions. - Demonstrate exceptional negotiation, motivating, planning, interpersonal and communication skills. - Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, customer, and industry organizations. - Must have demonstrated experience running and improving business in an international location. - PC literacy in a Microsoft environment and ERP system. - Work history that demonstrates above average problem solving, quantitative, and analytical skills. - Ability to effectively collaborate & work as part of a team at various organizational levels in a fast-paced environment. - Planning & implementing complex processes. - Excellent customer service skills. - High level of self-motivation, energy, and resourcefulness. - Ability to prioritize and respond with a sense of urgency with strong attention to detail. - Must be able to handle multiple tasks and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. - One must be able to work with coworkers and vendors from different cultures and ethnicities. - Must be organized and willing to adapt to changes in processes.
