Job Description

    • Java AWS/Azure (2 positions) - Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Engineer, you will help modernize a lift-and-shift infrastructure into a cloud-native stack. You will work with a distributed microservice architecture, utilizing Java services, Terraform for infrastructure as code, and a variety of technologies within the Azure/AWS ecosystems. We foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture, adhering to the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology as our agile practice.ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop scalable and resilient cloud-based enterprise applications using Java and distributed microservice architecture.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, tech leads, and DevOps engineers to define project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.Develop infrastructure as code using terraform to provision and manage cloud resources in Azure.Implement and integrate Azure services such as RDS databases, NoSQL databases, Serverless functions, Containers, and API Gateway proxies.Ensure system reliability, performance, and security by following industry best practices.Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, and contribute to code reviews.Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.Required QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.7 years experience as an IT professional.5 years experience developing in Java and Spring.2 years experience in Azure or AWS Cloud.2 year experience of managing infrastructure via IaC, preferably Terraform.Experience with GitHub Actions and Workflows.Familiarity with microservice architectures and the ability to design and implement cloud-based enterprise applications.Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.Proficient in working with RDS databases, NoSQL databases, Serverless functions, Containers, and API Gateway proxies.Solid understanding of software development best practices, including version control, testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).Preferred QualificationsMasters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Relevant certifications such as Azure Certified DevOps Expert or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer.Familiarity with AWS CloudFamiliarity with GolangFamiliarity with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or other Agile methodologies.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
