We are actively recruiting for an Ophthalmologist. The appointee will provide patient care in the area of general ophthalmology in a high volume outpatient setting at Hospital, as well as surgical care within comprehensive ophthalmology. Other duties will include resident education and scholarly activity. The Ophthalmologist is responsible for offering high quality eye and vision care to patients through thorough examination and comprehensive treatments in a high volume outpatient setting. Performs eye exams, diagnoses and treats ophthalmic disease/pathology, prescribes medications and performs lens-based eye surgery. In this role, a primary focus will be resident training and education.Providing routine care like vision testing and prescribing glasses and contact lenses. Performing corrective surgeries, such as repairing injuries and corneas and removing cataracts. Performing advanced surgical procedures, such as a keyhole or laser surgery.Ophthalmologist duties and responsibilitiesEnsure high-quality patient care Work in multidisciplinary team with other doctors and staff Conduct routine eye examination Perform tests on patients Prescribe initial eye care products Perform minor surgeries Provide specialized eye treatments and therapy Prescribe various treatment plans Inform Optometrist about patient condition Instruct interns, residents, or others in ophthalmologic procedures and techniques Stay up to date with trends in the care, diagnosis and treatment of eye disorders Develop or implement plans and procedures for ophthalmologic services
