Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team in the water treatment industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in water treatment processes, including design, optimization, and troubleshooting. You will work closely with project managers, operators, and regulatory agencies to ensure efficient and compliant operations.Key Responsibilities:
• Process Design and Optimization: Develop and optimize water treatment processes, including physical, chemical, and biological treatment methods.
• Project Management: Lead engineering projects from conception through execution, ensuring they meet timelines and budget constraints.
• Data Analysis: Analyze process data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all processes comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to water quality and treatment.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support to operations teams for troubleshooting and resolving process-related issues.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, including process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures, and technical reports.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including environmental scientists, chemists, and project managers.
• Training: Mentor and train junior engineers and operators on best practices in water treatment processes.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; Masters degree preferred.
• Experience: 5-20 years of relevant experience in water treatment engineering or a related field.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus) and familiarity with water treatment technologies such as membrane filtration, coagulation, and disinfection.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing process challenges.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
• Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of water quality regulations (e.g., EPA standards) and environmental compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with wastewater treatment systems.
• Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
