Job Description

Direct ResponsibilitiesWorking as a member of the Trade Processing team including trade capture and settlementProcess Global Security transactions on the Global trade processing platforms within given deadlinesInteract with both internal and external parties to resolve trade confirmation and settlement queriesAssist the junior staff on the BAU and act as a back in the absence of supervisor/Team leader.Participate and help management in the Audit, ProjectsCapture and confirm Equity, Fixed Income, Treasury and Mutual Fund trades from the client in a timely and accurate manner thus ensuring timely settlement and accountingEnsure that all trades are matched within market/client deadlinesEnsure client positions are correct and all transactions are processedQuery resolution in accordance with time frames set out in Client SLA sWork with the Custodians and brokers to capture failed tradesResolve failed trade queries proactivelyEnsure all errors/break down of procedure are documented as per BNP Paribas policyActive involvement in ProjectsExtensive communication with Internal & External parties. Technical & Behavioral Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and solid organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks, and meets strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and strong MS-Word & Excel skills required.
  • To be based in Chennai and prepared to travel as required.
  • Must be prepared to work in any shift supporting Asia/Americas/European business hours.
  • Good knowledge of Securities Services Industry
  • High computer skills
  • Swift knowledge, MT540, MT541, MT542, MT543, MT300 and 302
  • Good settlement market knowledge and in particular knowledge of the Far East market
  • Knowledge of key risks including buy in and pre-funding markets
  • An understanding of how an Asset Manager operates with Custodians and Brokers
  • An understanding of a variety of Instrument types including Equities, Bonds, Unit Trusts
  • An understanding of foreign exchange
  • Knowledge of Omgeo CTM & Tradeflow would be an added advantage
