Amazon is known across the globe as the most trusted company on the internet.The Digital Payments Product Management team is responsible for defining and actively managing the Digital payments customer experience across all of Amazon s digital businesses globally, including Kindle, eBooks, ePeriodicals, Prime Video, Digital Music, Appstore, Audible, Digital games & Software, and Cloud Drive. This team ensures that Amazon can delight its customers through delivering a consistent, low friction purchase and payment experiences across all surfaces (both 1P and 3P), while retaining our industry-leading low fraud rates and effectively removing payments related bottlenecks to digital business growth.In this role as a Senior Product Manager (Tech), you are responsible for managing the life-cycle of products that deliver the Digital payment experience for digital businesses across Amazon. You own the product roadmap and feature priorities, which may include contributing to yearly and long-range planning, goals, and engineering organization roadmaps. You define the problem(s) we are trying to solve, desired customer experience, vision, tenets, and product strategy. You deliver the right product solutions independently, with limited guidance. You are the Voice of the Customer and articulate their needs. You are able to distill clear requirements from large and diverse sets of customers, partners, vendors, engineering team builders, and business entities.You are a simplifier. You determine when it is appropriate to build, improve an existing solution, or integrate existing features for a more cohesive end-to-end customer experience. You are able to evaluate whether a product to be launched meets the intent of the Press Release and Working Backward documents. You influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions. You make sure business and technology teams are aligned with customer needs. You discern which features are essential, can be triaged, as well as which can be omitted altogether. You are an effective negotiator, make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. features), and drive appropriate schedules. You are willing to readjust priorities to ensure the right customer, technology, and engineering outcomes.You influence teams to eliminate architecture problems that stifle innovation or cause user dissatisfaction. You use your technical judgment to test assumptions and know when to enlist Senior/Principal Engineer reviews to ensure our solutions will scale to meet think big business ideas. You know how and when to escalate without damaging relationships. When confronted with discordant views, you are able to find the best way forward and influence others to follow that path (build consensus). You may develop product materials to accelerate client on-boarding and help our client maximize their value from our offerings.YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: Managing the life-cycle of Digital Payment CX technology products and features (customer experience, vision, strategy). Owning technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven insights, directly collaborating with Digital business product & engineering leadership, Consumer Payments engineering leadership, principal engineers and product leaders Comfortable in different roles, sometimes supporting, sometimes leading. Is capable of taking accountability and driving technical product roadmap planning, issue resolution and execution. Responsible for delivering key metrics/goals, feature adoption, process compliance, on-time execution, and launches. Developing product plans with clear measurable success criteria, using mechanisms and metrics (KPIs, funnels, conversion, awareness).Key job responsibilitiesDefine the roadmap of APEXDefine the 3YP plan for APEX and OP1Identify and deliver new areas for APEX to accelerate.About the teamEnergetic and fun loving team who focus on accelerating launching new forms of payment at Amazon.Work hard, have fun and make history !, 7+ years of product management experience with high-quality and large-scale services including customer analysis, market segmentation, KPI management, operational management and roadmap development Minimum of 5+ years of experience translating customer needs into engineering requirements and delivering exceptional customer experiences Bachelor s degree in computer science or technical field of study MBA and/or Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences at varying levels in the organization Experience communicating and presenting project status updates to senior management Strong understanding of payments domain and payments industry Good understanding of platform service models, including Platform as a Service Experience with Web Services, Front End technology stacks and Service Oriented Architectures Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders Strong data analysis skills; the ability to extract and synthesize data in order to make data-backed business decisionsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
