Job Description

  • Responsible for installation and configuration of VERITAS Netbackup 7.5.0.4/7.5.0.6/7.6.1.2/7.7.3 Master Server, Media Server, and Clients across various Operating System platforms
  • Installing and configuring Netbackup v 6.x,v7.x on UNIX, Windows and Linux environments
  • Migrated Netbackup Master, Media and Clients to Netbackup for all UNIX and Windows Servers on various platforms
  • Responsible to implement High Availability, Work Load Management and Fail Over, Disaster recovery
  • Implement Clustering mechanism to reduce the administrative tasks
  • Work on Client-Server architecture for one-to-one and one to many connections
Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in NetBackup Administrator
  • Demonstrable experience in v6.0, v7.0, v7.5 and V8.1.1 Installation, Configuration and upgradation administration on Windows, UNIX and Linus environments
  • Proficient in creation and configuration of backup policies such as file systems, SQL, VMware, Oracle, Lotus Notes, and Sybase databases, raw, Flash for various NetBackup clients
  • Ability in restoration of SQL Databases using SQL server agent, Lotus Notes Mailboxes, File server data and Sybase Database client on respective environment
  • Hands-on knowledge in creating backup scripts for user backup for UNIX and Windows servers
  • Proven debugging and analytical skills with solid grasp of system development methodologies, techniques and tool
