Critical to the success of GSAM is our ability to leverage a global team of talented professionals to define solutions and lead change across the operational infrastructure.With over $765bn in money market fund (MMF) assets under supervision, the Liquidity Solutions team is the largest asset class within GSAM. We focus on distributing money market funds to clients through several GSAM sales channels spanning corporates, banks, hedge funds, private equity funds, retail clients, and others.The Regional Consultant role involves both an individual sales process and a collaborative partnership with GSAM Regional Directors to drive market penetration of money market funds as well as our full suite of mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, and alternative investments within our Bank Distribution Channel.The roles and responsibilities can be categorized as:

  • Collaboration with Regional Directors across our business to support and grow our product penetration across US Banks.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for Regional Directors in the field to support their sales efforts.
  • Proactively educate a wide range of clients with varying degrees of market knowledge on investment strategies, product positioning and portfolio implementation strategies across the entire GSAM Product Suite.
  • Conduct compelling group and individual presentations both in-person and virtually designed to articulate and differentiate the GSAM Platform.
  • Respond to client inquiries related to fund features and performance both individually and in partnership with Regional Directors within GSAM.
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
  • 3 years MMF related experience within either a sales, product specialist or investment focused role.
  • Undergraduate degree in business, finance or a related discipline required.
  • CFA, MBA and/or CIMA designation(s) preferred.
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 required.
  • Excellent presentation skills (both in-person and virtually) and strong verbal/written communication skills.
  • A growth mindset with a business-owner mentality, being naturally drawn to pursuing sales opportunities, innovation, and new value creation while looking to continually improve capabilities.
  • Strong investment acumen and background.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to utilize data and make data-driven decisions to maximize productivity.
  • A passion for capital markets, asset management, and MMFs.
Salary RangeThe expected base salary for this Chicago, Illinois, United States-based position is $80,000 - $160,000.
