With more than 130 years of financial experience and over 22,000 partners, we serve the worlds most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.Cyber Risk Senior LeadRole/ Department:This role will sit in the newly formed Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) team within Northern Trusts Technology function (1st Line of Defence), and will focus on the measurement, analysis, oversight and reporting of cybersecurity risks and controls.The Cyber Risk Snr Lead will be a specialist within the Cyber Risk team, and will be responsible for the operation and optimization of the teams risk identification, assessment and reporting processes. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in both cybersecurity and risk management disciplines, and have exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Drive the identification, evaluation, and prioritization of cyber risks across the organization
  • Conduct cyber risk assessments and provide reporting to a range of senior stakeholders
  • Conduct cyber maturity assessments and provide reporting to a range of senior stakeholders
  • Conduct thematic risk analysis, providing insights on issues and direction on risk mitigation strategies
  • Participate in the production of risk metrics and other risk reporting
  • Drive automation, analytics, and continuous improvement of processes
  • Engage with a range of senior stakeholders across Lines of Defence to ensure appropriate oversight and reporting of cybersecurity risks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cyber risk assessment and remediation activities
Skills/ Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field; Masters degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on risk management
  • Extensive knowledge of cyber risk management frameworks and methodologies
  • Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and risk mitigation options
  • Innovative thinker and adaptable to change
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of translating technical risk into business terms
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or similar

Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits.
