Job Description

    A Branch Manager for Canara HSBC Life Insurance isresponsible forleading a team to achieve sales targetsby building relationships with bank partners and customers, and by overseeing the branchs operations and compliance. Key duties includementoring and recruiting staff,driving business growth,ensuring customer satisfaction, andadhering to company policies and industry regulations.Key responsibilities
      • Sales and business development:
        • Drive new business and cross-selling opportunities by working with bank partners and managing a team of Field Sales Associates (FLS).
        • Develop strategies to meet monthly and annual sales targets.
        • Analyse customer profiles to suggest suitable insurance products.
      • Team management and leadership:
          • Recruit, train, and mentor the sales team, including sales managers and agents.
      • Motivate the team and provide direct support and market advice.
      • Conduct performance reviews and create development plans for staff.
    • Operations and compliance:
      • Oversee the daily operations of the branch.
      • Ensure the team follows organizational quality standards, processes, and guidelines.
      • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
      • Coordinate with internal teams like operations and underwriting to ensure smooth policy fulfillment.
    • Customer relationship management:
      • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and bank partners.
      • Address customer queries and resolve complaints.
      • Ensure overall customer satisfaction.
    Required skills and qualifications
    • Proven experience in sales and relationship management within the financial or insurance industry.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Comprehensive understanding of life insurance products, features, and processes.
    • Ability to strategize, implement business plans, and achieve sales targets.
    • Proficiency with relevant tools and systems.
    • Bachelors degree in a relevant field is often preferred.
