Job Description

      • Identify problems:Use diagnostic equipment to identify problems with the vehicles engine, electrical systems, and more
    • Plan work:Use technical manuals, charts, and experience to plan how to repair the vehicle
    • Perform repairs:Repair or replace parts like brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors
    • Perform maintenance:Perform basic maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks
    • Test parts and systems:Test parts and systems to ensure they work properly
    • Explain repairs to customers:Explain the problems and repairs to the customer
    • Maintain vehicle records:Record service and repairs, and keep track of warranties
    • Keep shop equipment in good condition:Follow operating instructions, troubleshoot breakdowns, and perform preventive maintenance
    • Stay up to date:Attend courses to learn new techniques and use new equipment
