Why this job mattersAs part of BT Digital, we support Digital in complying with internal codes of conduct, policies, standards and procedures and ensure that regulatory requirements (both for Telecoms and non-Telecoms regulation such as anti-bribery, GDPR, trade sanctions) are followed.We interface with key stakeholders within Digital to ensure the key controls are implemented and operating effectively through appropriate 1st line roles and responsibilities and perform assessments of control implementation. We also support with the management of risk and provide compliance advice in the most appropriate and effective manner.What Youll Be Doing Work with Senior Manager, Compliance Risk and Controls to plan and design control assessment initiatives. Programme manage the roll out of compliance assurance programmes or remediation programmes including oversight of any risks and issues arising. Perform 1st line assurance testing, identify gaps in key controls and recommend. remediation actions. Provide coaching support on processes and control requirements to the 1st line when required. Interpret regulatory requirements applicable to Telco/Digital and consider how they apply to the business. Collect, manage and review consolidated management information relevant to monitoring compliance and performance of controls, where available and appropriate. Participate in working groups as required and take meeting minutes for distribution.Required SkillsWhat youll need: Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with strong ability to communicate effectively. Experience with risk and compliance management, audit/assurance and the three lines of defence model within a complex international organisation. Knowledge and ability to understand and interpret regulatory requirements including how they impact BTs overall business controls & processes. Ability to engage with users to interpret requirements and deliver solution specifications. Strong planning and organising skills in the delivery of compliance assurance and remediation programmes.
