An Electrical Technicianinstalls, maintains, and repairs electrical systems and equipment, reading blueprints, conducting diagnostic tests, replacing faulty components, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.Key responsibilities include troubleshooting issues, performing preventive maintenance, testing electrical components, managing records, and collaborating with teams on electrical projects.Core ResponsibilitiesInstallation:Setting up new electrical systems, wiring, outlets, and other equipment according to blueprints and diagrams.Maintenance:Performing regular inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure electrical systems operate safely and efficiently.Repair:Diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning electrical equipment, including replacing wiring, circuit boards, and other components.Troubleshooting:Identifying the root cause of electrical problems using specialized tools and techniques.Key DutiesReading & Interpretation:Understanding and applying information from electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.Testing:Conducting tests on electrical circuits, components, and newly installed equipment to verify quality and proper function.Safety Compliance:Adhering to safety protocols, regulations, and building codes during all installation and repair work.Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and service requests performed.Communication:Informing stakeholders about timelines, the status of repairs, and potential issues.Teamwork:Collaborating with other technicians, engineers, and workers on complex projects.Tools & SkillsTools:Utilizing hand and power tools like screwdrivers, drills, conduit breakers, and specialized diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and thermal scanners.Skills:Problem-solving, attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work safely with electricity.
