Job Description

    The HVAC Supervisor oversees the operation, maintenance, and repair of all heating, ventilation, and airconditioning systems within a facility. The role ensures equipment reliability, energy efficiency, safety compliance, and effective supervision of HVAC technicians.
    • Team leadership
    • Supervising technicians, assigning tasks, training new staff, and ensuring safety compliance.Troubleshooting & diagnostics Handling complex system faults, guiding technicians, and coordinating with vendors when needed.
      • Energy management Monitoring system performance, optimizing settings, and reducing energy consumption.
      • Documentation & reporting Maintaining logs, service records, checklists, and compliance documents.
      • Project coordination Supporting installation, commissioning, retrofits, and upgrades.
      • Safety & compliance Ensuring adherence to HVAC codes, fire safety norms, and environmental regulations.Skills Required for an HVAC Supervisor
        • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and electrical fundamentals
        • Leadership and communication to manage teams and coordinate with management
        • Problemsolving for diagnosing complex mechanical/electrical issues
        • Planning & scheduling for preventive and predictive maintenance
        • Knowledge of BMS/automation systems
        • Understanding of safety standards (LOTO, PPE, chemical handling, confined spaces)

        • Operations & Maintenance
        • Supervise daily operation of HVAC systems including AHUs, FCUs, VRV/VRF units, cooling towers, pumps, and ventilation systems.
        • Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules.
        • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related faults and guide technicians in troubleshooting.Qualifications & Experience
          • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or HVAC specialization.
          • 5 to 10 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
          Performance Indicators (KPIs)
          • Equipment uptime and reduction in breakdowns.
          • Timely completion of preventive maintenance schedules.
          • Energy efficiency improvements.
          • Safety compliance and zero-incident record.
          • Technician productivity and skill development.
          • Quality and accuracy of documentation.
