Job Description

    As an IT Asset Manager at Coforge, you will be responsible for overseeing Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) functions. Your role will involve managing the full lifecycle of IT hardware and software assets to ensure optimal usage, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with licensing agreements and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:- Track and manage software licenses, entitlements, and renewals across all business units.- Ensure compliance with vendor licensing agreements (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, etc.).- Prepare for and support internal or external software audits.- Monitor usage trends to optimize license allocation and reduce unnecessary spend.- Collaborate with IT Security for whitelist / blacklist software and license control.- Maintain and continuously improve the IT asset management database (CMDB).- Develop reports and KPIs to track asset lifecycle, compliance, and cost.- Work closely with IT, procurement, legal, and finance teams to align on policies and procedures.- Drive automation and improvements in asset tracking and reporting systems.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field.- 6 years of experience in IT Asset Management, with exposure to both hardware and software.- Familiarity with ITAM / SAM tools (ServiceNow, Snow, etc.).- Understanding of software licensing models (perpetual, subscription, user / device-based).- Excellent data analysis, documentation, and reporting skills.Note: Certifications related to Asset management are a must-have for this role.
