This role isideal for individuals seeking a career in culinary management and aims to equip trainees with theknowledge and experience necessary to oversee kitchen operations efficiently.Key Responsibilities:1. Training and Development:o Participate in a structured training program covering all aspects of kitchenmanagement.o Shadow experienced kitchen staff and management to learn operational processes.2. Kitchen Operations:o Assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, andplating.o Learn to manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.3. Food Safety and Hygiene:o Understand and implement food safety regulations and sanitation standards.o Assist in conducting regular kitchen inspections and maintaining cleanliness.4. Team Collaboration:o Support the kitchen team in achieving production goals and timelines.o Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow.5. Customer Service:o Learn the importance of customer satisfaction and how it relates to kitchenoperations.o Participate in addressing customer feedback and ensuring quality standards aremet.6. Cost Control:o Gain knowledge in managing food costs and waste reduction strategies.o Assist in tracking inventory usage and help develop cost-efficient practices.7. Menu Development:o Participate in menu planning and recipe development sessions.o Gain insight into seasonal menu changes and culinary trends.8. Leadership Development:o Work towards developing leadership skills by taking on small team projects.o Learn about staff training, motivation, and performance management.Qualifications:Education:o BHM/BSC in Hotel industry Any Hotel Management Trainee Experience:o Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but not required.
