Job Description

    Medical Coding Job DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems (ICD-10-CM and CPT), and the ability to accurately assign codes to medical records. The Medical Coder will play a vital role in ensuring that our claims are submitted correctly and that we receive proper reimbursement for the services we provide.Responsibilities
    • Review medical records,including physician notes,operative reports,and laboratory results
    • Assign appropriate ICD-10-CM and CPT codes to diagnoses,procedures,and services
    • Query physicians for clarification on unclear documentation
    • Maintain accurate and complete coding logs
    • Stay up-to-date on changes to coding guidelines and regulations
    • Participate in quality assurance audits
    • Train and mentor new coders
    Qualifications
    • 0- 2 of experience in medical coding
    • Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
