Job Description

An Oil and Gas Engineer Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities on drilling rigs, production sites, or pipeline systems, leading teams of workers and engineers to ensure safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. Key responsibilities include managing work schedules and resources, monitoring equipment and performance, troubleshooting problems, training staff, ensuring adherence to safety and environmental standards, and communicating with stakeholders and management. This role requires a bachelors degree, extensive experience in the field, and strong technical, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Key ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership:Manage and direct the activities of drilling crews, field staff, and technical teams.Operations Oversight:Supervise daily operations of oil and gas wells, rigs, or pipelines, ensuring they run efficiently and meet production goals.Safety & Compliance:Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, conduct safety drills, and manage incident response.Performance Monitoring:Track and evaluate drilling or production data, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement measures to improve efficiency.Technical Support:Provide technical guidance, support, and problem-solving for engineers and other team members.Resource Management:Requisition and procure materials and supplies, and help manage operational budgets.Communication:Serve as a liaison between the operational team, engineers, management, and regulatory agencies.Training:Train staff on equipment operation, safety procedures, company policies, and best practices.
