Job Description

    Job Title: Production ManagerExperience: Min. 5 years work experience in a tobacco-related environmentLocation: Lubango, Angola AfricaJob Overview:We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile Production Manager to join our team in Lubango, Angola. The ideal candidate will be responsible to lead and achieve factory production, quality, volume, and EH&S standards. Responsible for planning, scheduling, strategizing, and overseeing all production activities by playing a key role in meeting the company profitability and customer satisfaction goals through monitoring workflow in the Production Department and with optimum production staff.Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage the entire production process.
    • Maintain a safe shop floor environment and advocate for safety.
    • Ensure that production schedules are met, that production workload and staff are properly allocated, and that equipment are adequate to the production needs.
    • Monitor daily machinery running and machinery status to ensure efficiency and quality.
    • Maintain production control records and provide information in regard to delivery dates, schedules and operating issues.
    • Take all the necessary actions to manage production cost and improve profitability, ensures inventories are arranged and available and advise on capital improvements.
    • Schedule and ensure performance of all equipment maintenance following maintenance procedures.
    • Ensure usage of correct NTM / tobacco blend is issued on machine during production.
    • Run the machine with minimum wastage of NTM / tobacco.
    • Compile and submit daily / monthly production reports to the management as per the requirements.
    • Submit daily / monthly stock production reports and deliveries by Marketing department.
    • Meet all assigned goals by the General Manager and assist other departments in accomplishing their goals where possible.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent in other related fields.
    • Minimum of total 12 years work experience in a tobacco-related environment
    • At least 5 years of work experience in a senior role in a manufacturing sector, preferably tobacco / cigarette industry.
    • Strong leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing standards
    • Technical and numerical skills
    • Ability to coach and mentor employees.
    Compensation:
    • Salary: USD 5,000 per month (Total Cost to Company)
