Job Description

    As a high-performing and curious Senior Software Engineer at Saathi, you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about developing robust, scalable systems. You will play a crucial role in working on core services that drive our platform, addressing significant technical challenges that directly impact real users daily.**Key Responsibilities:**- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend services.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, ensuring stability and performance.- Follow OOP principles and design patterns in your coding practices.- Work with REST APIs, background workers, and message queues like Kafka.- Manage database design and queries, focusing on schema optimization and performance tuning.- Contribute to system architecture discussions, engage in peer code reviews, and troubleshoot production issues promptly.**Qualifications Required:**- 3-5 years of professional software development experience.- Solid knowledge of at least one core backend language, such as Node.js or Java.- Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.- Familiarity with software design principles and design patterns (e.g., factory, singleton, observer, etc.).- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (knowledge of MongoDB is a plus).- Proficiency in version control (Git) and working with RESTful APIs.Your experience with MongoDB, Kafka, or Elasticsearch is considered advantageous. Exposure to microservices architecture, distributed systems, and caching strategies is a plus. Previous involvement in agile teams and startups, with a willingness to take end-to-end ownership, is highly valued.
