Job Description

Role Overview:At Tide, you will be a vital part of the team responsible for building and running the data pipelines and services needed to support business functions, reports, and dashboards. As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines, mentoring junior engineers, troubleshooting technical issues, and improving data pipelines. Your work will involve translating business requirements into technical specifications, conducting exploratory data analysis, and building Looker Dashboards as necessary.Key Responsibilities:- Developing end-to-end ETL/ELT Pipeline and collaborating with Data Analysts- Designing and implementing scalable, automated processes for data extraction and analysis- Mentoring junior engineers within the team- Providing expertise on data technologies and solutions- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues- Enhancing data pipelines delivery and efficiency- Translating business requirements into technical specifications- Performing exploratory data analysis and implementing tests for data quality- Working with Data Analysts to optimize data feeds- Discovering, transforming, testing, deploying, and documenting data sources- Championing data warehouse governance and best practices- Building Looker Dashboards for specific use casesQualifications Required:- 5 years of extensive development experience using Snowflake or similar data warehouse technology- Proficiency in technologies such as dbt, Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Fivetran, AWS, git, and Looker- Agile development experience, particularly in SCRUM- Strong SQL skills with experience in performance tuning- Familiarity with data ingestion techniques and data modeling- Experience with data mining, ETL, and working with large-scale datasets- Knowledge of architecting analytical databases in Data Mesh architecture- Experience in agile cross-functional delivery teams- High standards for code quality, code reviews, testing, and deploymentAdditional Company Details:At Tide, you will have the opportunity to work remotely with flexible working arrangements under the Working Out of Office (WOO) policy.
