Job Description

Role Overview:You will be joining the lululemon Engineering team as a Senior Engineer I Data Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing a high level of technical knowledge and strong mentoring abilities to contribute to all areas of development and operations. Your primary focus will be on maintaining production systems and ensuring the efficient functioning of delivered products. As part of an Agile production release team, you will actively monitor key metrics, participate in engineering community practices, and contribute to project engineering design and standards verification.Key Responsibilities:- Be a main contributor in Agile ceremonies- Provide mentorship and facilitate engineering training for a team of Engineers- Perform and delegate engineering assignments to maintain production readiness- Conduct research to aid in product troubleshooting and optimization efforts- Guide product development and tools selection through research- Act as an escalation point and participate in on-call support rotations- Monitor key metrics and report on trends- Contribute to engineering automation, management, or development of production-level systems- Design and develop scalable cloud data warehouses in Snowflake- Orchestrate and automate complex ETL / ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory- Build and manage real-time data streaming pipelines with Kafka- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views- Develop and maintain lightweight Python scripts for automation and data manipulation- Leverage Snowpark for advanced data processing and machine learning workloads- Lead the effort to develop technical standards to support Microsoft Azure system platform- Create Technical Specifications, Design Documents, and Data Mapping- Recognize and adopt best practices in developing analytical insightsQualifications:- Completed Bachelors degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Software Architecture preferred; relevant industry experience also considered- 8 9 years of engineering experience- Ability to learn and work with new technologies in the Cloud / IT space- Knowledge of CI / CD principles and best practices- Experience in developing solutions for retail or eCommerce businesses and other relevant domains- Ability to assume leadership and mentorship roles- Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL workflows, SQL queries, and Python scripting- Familiarity with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Kafka, and Snowpark- Proven track record of promoting data quality and security through recommended approaches(Note: Additional details about lululemon as a company were not provided in the job description) Role Overview:You will be joining the lululemon Engineering team as a Senior Engineer I Data Engineering.
