Job Description

    Role Overview:You will be responsible for providing IT support with minimal supervision, maintaining site servers, network equipment, telephony, desktop hardware, and peripherals. Your duties will include installation and support of desktop hardware and software, as well as responding to user calls and requests for assistance.Key Responsibilities:- Self-motivated to complete assignments on time, while knowing when to ask for clarification or direction.- Act as the first point of contact for end-user technical support, ensuring a positive user experience.- Establish and maintain effective relationships with users at the office and field site.- Provide direct IT support to individuals across the organization, prioritizing service issues based on competing priorities.- Setup, install, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware/software, peripherals, and network printers.- Maintain site network file structures, access rights, security, users, printing, and desktop user environments.- Apply patches, log changes, and monitor error logs on site network servers.- Troubleshoot and repair problems with the site network, server, telephony infrastructure, and systems.- Address issues with site systems and desktop applications, assist with maintaining computer room, network cabling, and department documentation.- Prepare cost requests, procure equipment, maintain hardware/software inventories, and assist with audits.- Monitor server hardware uptime, virus protection, software updates, system backups, and disaster recovery plans.- Escalate issues to the manager, ensuring compliance with global Harsco standards and procedures.- Document support calls for performance reporting, maintain regular attendance, and be willing to work extended hours.- Perform other tasks as assigned by management and travel to field sites for IT support installations as needed.Qualifications:- Minimum of Graduation/Diploma in Computer Science, BSc., BCA.Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:- 2 to 5 years of related experience in supporting desktop hardware/peripherals and software systems.- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and environments.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
